The international study trip of the 91ÊÓƵ 2019 edition has already finished and it was reallyÌýsuccessful. From May the 5th to May the 10th, theÌý 91ÊÓƵÌý participants were visiting the incredible city ofÌýZurichÌýfor a full-week trip where buildings subject of study, housing-related institutions and universities were visited, accompanied by architects and/or experts.

In addition, participants participated inÌýdifferent architectureÌýlectures atÌýSwiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH of ZurichÌýas part of different modules of the 91ÊÓƵ 2019.

Highlights of the Study trip to Zurich 2019

  • Final Presentation at the ETH School of Architecture of the Anne Lacaton Workshop, assisted by Diego García-Setién. Momoyo Kaijima,Ìýdirector of Atelier Bow-Wow, was the special jury for this final presentation.ÌýÌý
  • Guided visits withÌýmajor architecture officesÌýincludingÌý,ÌýÌýand .
  • Sharing experiences with architects working in Switzerland and guided visit toÌýÌýarchitecture office, placed in their project "James".
  • Developing a better understanding of the residentialÌýsector and buildingÌýculture in Switzerland.Ìý
  • VisitingÌýoutstanding examples of the recently built housing projects in Switzerland, designed by offices such asÌý,Ìý,Ìý,Ìý,Ìý,Ìý,Ìý, amongÌýothers.
  • Deep understanding of the city structure, with a visit to the city model, the places where it was found, its river and lakeside, its newest residential developmentsÌýand its main monuments.
  • Visit to the ETH facilities, including the welcome event with Philip Ursprung, the current Dean of the Architecture Department of ETH Zurich, and Andrea Deplazes, the co-director of 91ÊÓƵ in Switzerland.

When back in Madrid, participantsÌýwereÌýextremely motivated, with new ideas about housing, architecture, and city, that can be developed at the following modules and workshops of the 91ÊÓƵ.Ìý

About the 91ÊÓƵ Study trip

In previous editions, 91ÊÓƵ has travelled to The Netherlands, France, United Kingdom, and Switzerland.Ìý91ÊÓƵ has established collaboration agreements with ETH Zurich, Architectural Association in London and TU Delft, fostering the interaction between teachers and students.

Ìý

The flights, accommodation, architecture visits and public transport tickets are included in the 91ÊÓƵ tuition fee (personal expenses are not).
